The most consistent comment…..
So we have just completed our first full week of deliveries, and what a positive week it was!! Almost all of the people that we delivered to, already had a large stack of logs at home….often bought within the last month or so…which then turn out to be rather less unseasoned than expected…..so they don’t burn.
So in the first place, when a large sack or two of kiln dried logs arrived, they were rather pleased to see us anyway!! That rapidly escalated when they then found out that I wasn’t dumping an immoveable bag on their driveway and clearing off, leaving them to shift it. The bags came out of the back of the truck, onto a sack barrow, into the garage or shed and stacked in a neat and tidy manner! Happy Customers!!
Probably the happiest was one of the first deliveries of the week, when I turned up and asked where they needed to go, and got the response that they will have to go THROUGH the house to the shed out the back!! I asked if they had a side gate and they said yes but would won’t get it down there!. So I had a quick look, and I reckoned we would get through. Tight, yes, but it went through and a 1 hour job making the house a mess whilst you did it became a 5 minute job!!
So, so long as you have a side pathway and gate about 55/60cm wide minimum, it should go through!! At a pinch, we might get it through a 50cm gap!!
